It’s back on!!
Thanks to everyone who has been patiently waiting while we figured out what dates would work.
The class has been rescheduled and will now be held Tuesday thru Friday (March 11 through the 14th) with the 2nd Annual NorCal SusCon on the Saturday and Sunday right after the class. As a student in the class you do not have to pay anything additional for your participation in the SusCon.
Registration is now open and I am looking forward to seeing many of you there!
Join us for an intensive 4-day interactive experience that covers many of the technical aspects of the art and act of suspension. The instructors for this class are Allen Falkner (TSD) and Steve Joyner (CoRE) with other suspension artists from all over the country contributing their time and knowledge.
Topics covered are technical, medical and legal considerations that affect a successful suspension. A great deal of time will be devoted to proper equipment selection, anatomical considerations for hook placement, post suspension aftercare and hands on experiences with all phases of a suspension. Particular attention will be paid to safety issues that includes both rigging and the potential for disease transmission.
Students are expected to serve as models for each other in the class, or you may bring a friend or family member to serve in your place.
Beverages and snacks will be provided each day of the class. There are plenty of local eateries within walking distance of the classroom for more substantial meal choices.
Everyone will have the opportunity to suspend or be suspended if they choose. The choices will be vertical, horizontal or a “pull”. Your hooks will be processed and returned to you in sterilized packages should you choose to keep them.
This class has been enormously popular in the past and it will fill up quickly.
At the conclusion of the class please join us for the 2nd annual NorCal SusCon on March 15th and 16th. As students of the class you will have the opportunity to apply the skills you have learned and there will be no additional charge for your participation. For more info about the SusCon, please go to their website which is
www.norcalsuscon.com.
If you need additional information about local hotels or transportation, please contact us or go to www.sanjose.com.

The classes originally scheduled for October 14-17, 2007 have been canceled. We will look at dates in the spring to reset them.
We have heard from some of you that you were waiting to know if the classes were going to go forward or not before you registered and sent in your fees. This class is not going forward because there were a lack of registered attendees. It is a bit of a catch I know.
Here is how it has to work from our end; In order for us to confirm the class, reserve hotel rooms for the instructors, secure airplane tickets, order supplies and make all the other arrangements necessary, we have to know that there are enough people attending to cover the costs. If you don’t register and pay the fees, we have no idea who is really committed to attending and therefore will cancel a class if it appears that there are not enough attendees to cover costs. I don’t mind not making much money……that is not why I do this….but at the same time I am not willing to loose money either.
From this point forward, this site will not complete your class registration unless you provide some form of payment. This is the only way you can be confirmed in the class. If you wish to pay by check or at the door, please contact us directly. Otherwise, use the PayPal link at the end of the registration form.
There will be classes starting as early as January 08 in San Jose. We will repeat the fabulously fun and exciting Suspension course followed by the NorCal SusCon. This will be an annual event that you will want to add to your calendar!!! Watch this page for more information about that event in the coming weeks.
There will be many more Bloodborne Pathogens/Infection Control classes offered in several different places as well. Want us to come to you? Drop a note and let us know.
March/April will see the introduction of the Apprenticeship Primer course in Calgary Canada!! You have no idea how excited we all are to see this happening.
More classes are in the works and repeats of the popular ones will be offered. Is there a technique or a skill you would like to learn or fine tune? Just let us know and we will work on making it happen.
Thanks to everyone who remains a supporter of these educational efforts. We look forward to hearing from you all and hopefully seeing you in the near future.
We are down to the wire to register for the classes in North Carolina in October.
I am posting this same message across all the boards I am on as well, so apologies if you are seeing it more than once, or twice or…….
There have been conversations with many of you about these classes. You have said you will be there and will register “soon”. Soon has arrived.
I have to book flights, secure hotel rooms, order supplies and do a million other things for each class. In order to do that and not loose my ass, I need to know that a minimum number of people are actually attending. The first public announcement about this class was in August.
Many folks knew about it in July.
When I count up the number of people who have said to me that they will attend, it is sufficient for me to move forward. However, only 2 of you have actually registered.
Sooooooo, the bottom line is……..by 10 pm (PST) on Weds September 12 if there are not enough people actually registered for this class, it will be canceled.
Registration can be done easily on my website www.propiercing.com At the end of the registration form there is a link to PayPal. You can choose to send a check as well, but you will need to let me know that you will complete your registration in that way.
Thanks and I hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send me e-mail at sky@propiercing.com
The Genital Piercing and Single Point Piercing classes held in San Jose this past July were awesome! In fact, they are the next series of classes that will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina in October.
The dates for the classes are October 14 and 15 for the Genital Piercing portion and then October 16 and 17 for Single Point Piercing. The instructors will once again be Jesika from St. Sabrinas in Minneapolis, Didier from Enigma in San Diego and Monte from Dr. Jacks in Omaha.
There will be a Bloodborne Pathogens Class offered on Sunday October 22nd as well in the same location.
Look for the registration forms for all of these classes very soon!
One of our previous instructors has moved to North Carolina and is actively looking for a place to hold the Suspension class. If you have any suggestions to offer, please let me know so that I can pass them on to him. Hopefully early next year we will be able to finally offer that class in North Carolina as well!.
I am working on putting together a semi regular newsletter that will go out to everyone who has signed up on the mailing list here. If there are topics you want information about, please let me know and I will do my darndest to be sure they are included in future newsletters. The focus of these mailings will be information and issues of interest to the practicing body modification artist.
There are new parts of this site in development so check back in and see what changes from week to week.
Carry on……………..
Things are moving along with the new site, but time is not on my side at the moment. I just returned from a GREAT trip to North Carolina and the Skar/Brand Class, and realized that there was little to nothing on the site about the July class coming up in……yikes…….less than 3 weeks!!
So, the short sketch is that the classes are July 9/10 for Genitals (M&F), that will be taught by Monte and Jesika Bornsen from St. Sabrinas. The focus here is on delving into those elusive piercings like triangles, dydoes and fourchettes in addition to revisiting some of the basic piercings for aftercare and jewelry choices.
Then, on the 11/12 we will have Single Point Piercing with Monte and Didier from Enigma in San Diego. Beading, Pearling, other “in the skin” installations that are non-surgical in nature will be the topic.
I know that there is not a registration form here just yet. I am typing as fast as I can!!! However, don’t let that dissuade you from letting me know you want to be at the classes. I am more than happy to send you a registration form via e-mail that you can return to me in the same way.
Both of these classes are being held in San Jose and there is a Bloodborne Pathogens Class being held the day before in the classroom (that would be Sunday, July 8th) This would be a great time to get that out of the way as well.
So there you have the short of it. My apologies for not having everything you all need in place all at once. I will catch up, I promise. Heck, I might even be inclined to learn that texting thing with my phone if this keeps going…..heheheh.
Welcome to the new home for Professional Piercing Information Systems. Lots of changes are in the works thanks to some dear friends from Canada who thought it was high time I joined the 21st Century. Everyday (and sometimes even hour to hour) things will be added, expanded and well, ……………..just improved by leaps and bounds.
Take just a minute and sign up on the mailing list so that you can be informed of our latest classes, travel schedule or other news.
Or take a look in the Gallery at some pics that were taken just hours ago at the Scarification class here in North Carolina. Branding images will be up soon as well.
Thanks for taking the time to look around. Come back soon for more incredible changes.
